All cancellation requests are subject to the terms and conditions listed here
How do I cancel my Demon account?
Please call our Customer Care Team on 0800 027 9190 to close your account/service.
To ensure your request is dealt with as speedily as possible, please have your account number or hostname to hand when you call.
Alternatively, you can submit your request to cancel in writing to :

What is a Migration Authorisation Code (MAC)?
A MAC is used to facilitate the transfer of a Broadband Service from one Communications Provider to another without downtime.
The MAC is a unique code generated by the existing service provider,
which the customer then gives to their new service provider in order for the service to be transferred without downtime.

How can I obtain a MAC?
You can obtain a MAC by calling our Customer Care Team on 0800 027 9190 or submit your request to cancel in writing to:

How long is a MAC valid for?
A MAC is valid for a period of 30 days.

Why have I been refused a MAC?
You may have been refused a MAC due to one of the following reasons:
- we have been unable to validate the identity of the person requesting the MAC as the End-User
- the Broadband Service contract has already been terminated
- a valid MAC has already been requested and issued in relation to the Broadband Service
- a Cease Request has already been submitted for the Broadband Service
- we are unable to obtain a MAC from the Broadband Network Communications Provider.
