Microsoft Exchange

When Microsoft Exchange is installed, you need to click on Tools then Options

You will see a screen like the screen shot below.

Make sure Internet Mail is highlighted.

Click on the Properties button.

Fill in the relevant information on the screen.

The Full name will usually be your name or Company name. This is what the recipient of an email from you will see.

Email address is your email address; this will also be the reply to address.
Internet mail server, enter pop3.demon.co.uk.

The account name is your hostname, password is your Logon Password.

To configure the outgoing mail server, click the Advanced Options button.

The outgoing mail server is post.demon.co.uk.

The next section deals with how you want to connect.

Click on Connection and you will see a similar screen to the screen shot below.

You have two options here.

If you select Connect using the network it will use the connection setup on another computer on your LAN (Local Area Network).

If you select Connect using the modem you will have to select the Demon connection in Dialup Networking. This way when you send or receive mail a connection screen will come up automatically.
Once you have all this information set up you are ready to use Exchange.

To check your mail you need to click on Tools and Deliver Now.
