Internet Explorer 3

Open Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 web browser.
To set up MS Internet Explorer click on View.
Choose Options from the resulting menu.
From here you can set up MS Internet Explorer to suit your preferences.
Click on the Connection tab.
In the Dialling section, make sure Connect to the Internet as needed is selected and
Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection: has Demon Internet Ltd selected (or whatever your Demon connection is called).
If you connect to the Internet via other means (ie cable modem or Leased Line), then select the appropriate options.
In the Proxy server section, select Connect through a proxy server.
Click on Settings.
Inside the Servers section, under Address of proxy to use, type in www-cache.demon.co.uk next to HTTP:, and the Port number is 8080.
Select the Use the same proxy for all protocols option.
Click on OK.
Click the Navigation tab.
Under the Customise section, you can select the "Start Page" that Internet Explorer will show when it is initially opened. The options are either:
Use Current will use the current address in the address window. or,
Use Default will use the default homepage (Demon Internet's Page).
If you choose Use Default you can type your own start page url in the Address field provided, for instance www.yahoo.com
Click Apply
Click OK to save and exit the Options and return back to the Internet Explorer screen.
You are now ready to start browsing the web.
