APART Consultancy
For visually impaired or otherwise disabled customers.
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) states that any provider of services such as restaurants, airlines, or ISPs should ensure that their services are fully accessible to those with disabilities. Although the requirements of the DDA only came into effect in 2004, THUS has employed APART since 1997 to ensure that its services are fully accessible.
What do APART do?
- Provide a Customer Service function for Demon’s visually impaired or otherwise disabled clients.
- Support these customers with setting up email services on Turnpike.
- Advise visually impaired or otherwise disabled customers on their access technologies for Internet, email and chat room services.
- Resolve these customers’ queries regarding Internet access set up and general computing issues.
- Investigate customers’ billing or technical queries with Customer Service, Customer Relations and Helpdesk, where necessary.
- Promote our awareness of the needs of visually impaired or otherwise disabled users needs.
