Fair Usage Policy
Home and HomeOffice services must be used in accordance with our Fair Usage Policy, a copy of which can be found at www.demon.net/helpdesk/producthelp/aup/thusfup. This forms part of the Agreement between THUS plc and our Home and HomeOffice Customers. We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that in the circumstances where bandwidth usage exceeds what we consider to be reasonable, it is necessary to take steps to reduce usage to a more equitable level.

Web space
No web space is provided with Home.

Host name
Customers have a Home-style hostname.

Email
Unlimited email addresses.
Outbound mail is via SMTP, inbound mail is via POP3.

IP address assignment
Home is provided with a dynamic IP address i.e. your IP address will be allocated at the start of your session. As you may choose to be permanently connected to the Internet whenever your computer is switched on, it is advisable to install a security system, such as a firewall with this service (for further information on our approved Firewalls please contact our product specialists.)

Installation
Broadband requires a standard analogue phone line provided by BT. The service can be taken from any extension socket subject to the correct use of microfilters. Home comes with an optional Alcatel SpeedTouch 330 USB modem and two microfilters.
