SpeedTouch Installation - Windows 2000

Please see our Important Notice, we recommend that you read it before you proceed.

Make sure the hardware is not connected at this point.

Place the installation CD into the CD drive, the installation will auto-run.

Click on Install usb/330 software.

The install wizard perpares to install the software.

 

Information screen, click Next.

Read the licence carefully, if you agree, click Yes.
If you do not agree, click No and terminate the installation.

Select the directory to install to. If you wish to use the default directory click Next.
If you wish to install to a different directory, click the Browse button and navigate to the relevant directory, click Next

Select a program folder, click Next.

The installation will now continue.
Now connect the hardware to your computer.

The setup is now complete, click Finish.
You can now connect the hardware to your computer.

Windows 2000 finds the new hardware.
Windows will load and initializes all the relevant software.

Diagnostics. This screen shows relevant information about the connection.

You can find more detailed information by clicking on the green arrow.

Enter Details:
Connection: Select the SpeedTouch Connection from the drop down list.
Username: This is in the form hostname@connection pipe
An example of this would be: myhostname@anchor-r26a.demonadsl.co.uk
This information will be in your welcome letter.
Password: This will be your connection password you set when setting up the account.
Once this information is entered, click the Connect button.

Providing all the information has been entered correctly the modem will connect to Demon.

Windows 2000 informs you of the connection and speed.
