FTP (File Transfer Protocol) allows you to transfer files between your computer and another one connected to the Internet. Most public FTP servers require you to login, and usually accept a login username of 'anonymous' with the password being your email address. Warning: Transferring files opens your computer up to the possibilty of downloading computer viruses.You should always check any software you have downloaded for viruses before using it. Open Cuteftp by double-clicking on the icon, or choosing it from the Start > Programs > cuteftp You should then see a panel similar to the one below. To transfer files to and from an FTP server: Once these details are correct, click on OK to connect to the FTP server. To transfer files to and from your Demon Homepages Server (also known as uploading your website): Once these details are correct, click on OK to connect to the Demon Homepages server.
