These domain names are administered by numerous Registrars, each having its own procedures for modifying domain name records. We will issue a domain transfer request through Network Solutions (a division of VeriSign, Inc.). This request will be received by the current administrative contact listed in the domain name record. The legal registrant of the domain name should instruct the administrative contact to approve this request to transfer the domain name to Demon & Network Solutions (VeriSign).

We strongly advise that you contact your current domain name hosting provider to confirm if any further authorisation or instructions are required by the legal registrant to transfer the domain name away from that provider. Failure to do so could lead to a delay in hosting your domain name.

Note: We will not assume billing responsibility for any .com, .net, or .org domain name that is not maintained by Network Solutions (VeriSign).

.biz / .info / .name

Presently, there is not a process for transferring these domain names to Network Solutions from another Registrar.

To transfer your domain name to Demon, determine the Registrar currently administering your domain name:

Note: For .info, Network Solutions shows as R122-LRMS.

If the Registrar responsible for your domain name is Network Solutions (VeriSign), you will need to login to your VeriSign account at https://www.netsol.com/en_US/manage-it/.

• Change the technical contact to the NIC-Handle 'DEMON-HM.'

• Amend the name servers to which the domain name is delegated to:

Note: You can either enter the handle alone, or enter the host name and the IP address. Alternatively, if you would like us to make these modifications for you, please supply your login information to us with your order or by fax to the our Hostmaster on 020 8371 1285. Should you ask us to make these changes, we advise that you change your password once your domain name record has been updated.

If the Registrar responsible for your domain name is not Network Solutions (VeriSign), you will need to follow that Registrar's procedure for modifying the domain name. This usually involves modifying your domain name online at the web site of the Registrar.
