How to create Tables:

Step 1 - Place the cursor on a blank part of the page.

Step 2 - Click the Insert Table button on the Standard toolbar. A drop-down grid appears.

Step 3 - Move the pointer to select the number of columns and rows you require, click once to accept the setting.

Tables are very important and widely used in web pages to display information in columns and rows.

How to format tables:

Step 1 - Place the cursor within the table.

Step 2 - Click Table on the Menu bar and select Properties, then Table. The Table Properties dialog box appears.

Step 3 - Adjust border width by clicking the up and down arrows on the Border Size box.
Note: To make the Borders invisible, set this to zero.

Settings

Step 4 - Adjust the border color by clicking Border Color and selecting the color from the drop-down color box.

Step 5 - Align the table on the Web page by selecting an option from the Alignment drop-down box.

Step 6 - Click Ok.

To place text into a table:

Step 1 - Place the cursor into the cell where you want the text.

Step 2 - Enter the required text.

To add images to a table:

Step 1 - Place the cursor inside the cell where you want to place the image.

Step 2 - Click the Insert Picture From File button as shown earlier.

Step 3 - Navigate to the image file and select it. The file name will appear in the URL text box.

Step 4 - Click Ok.
