Planned Maintenance We will be carrying out essential maintenance on our inbound email platform as follows:
During this period we will be upgrading the mail system commonly referred to as the punts, that deliver email to customers by SMTP, POP3 and Webmail. Throughout this period the mail platform will be running at reduced capacity with half the servers being taken out of commission at a time. There will however be a period from: Sunday 30th March between 00:01 GMT to 02:00 GMT when it will not be possible to receive / collect email. This will affect various Demon products including Home Broadband, HomeOffice Broadband, Business Broadband (NAT), and Standard Dial Up. During the outage period Demon Webmail will not be available. Outbound email will not be affected. Inbound email will be held on our servers throughout the period, however it is possible email receipt may be delayed for a period after the work is completed. Please note that the work is taking place at the time Summer Time commences in the UK and Europe. The stated times are however all in UTC / GMT. We regret any inconvenience this essential work causes to our customers. Malcolm Muir |
