THUS Achieves ISO 9001:2000 Re-Certification, Demonstrating Continuing Focus On Quality THUS plc today announced that it has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification for its quality systems and processes for a further three years, underlining its ongoing commitment to quality. The certification was approved by its external assessment body, Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Ltd. following an extensive audit process. The assessment involved a review of THUS's quality management system (QMS) and end-to-end processes, including installation and management of services and fault resolution. The certification is valid until July 2007. ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems. Certification shows that an organisation has implemented processes and procedures to help meet its customers' expectations. THUS was one of the first UK telecommunications service providers to achieve full ISO 9001:2000 certification for voice, data, Internet and contact centres last year. Bill Allan, Chief Executive, THUS plc, said, "We are committed to delivering quality services to our customers and are delighted that this has been recognised once again through the ISO 9001:2000 certification process. I believe that THUS employs exceptionally talented and dedicated people who care about the Company and its customers. This focus on quality really sets us apart in the telecommunications industry." Don Stanley, head of assessment at LRQA comments: "in achieving this re-certification, THUS has endorsed its commitment to continually improve the way in which it manages quality throughout the organisation. The adoption of ISO 9001 shows a commitment to systematic and sustainable improvement." |
