THUS today became one of the first broadband providers to launch a subscription-free dial up service integrated with its range of Demon Express Broadband services. Demon Dial Companion for Broadband allows SMEs to keep costs low while implementing technology that will help grow their business. It enables the many SMEs that currently subscribe to dial-up accounts for each of their employees to switch to a single primary broadband connection backed up by multiple subscription-free dial-up accounts for staff use.

The primary connection offers similar benefits of broadband, including high speed, unrestricted Internet access and "always on" connection for heavy file transfer, e-mail and Internet access at head office. The additional subscription-free Demon Dial-Up connections allow companies to provide all employees with remote access without having to pay for separate dial-up subscriptions. This enables remote workers to send and receive emails as if they were at their work base and also enables them to access essential software and data services.

Demon Dial Companion for Broadband is a simple, cost effective way for staff in smaller companies to access their broadband e-mail and the Internet from remote locations. This brings the many cost and work/life benefits of teleworking to small companies. It allows home workers, business travellers and those who regularly work from customer sites to make the most of their time away from the broadband-equipped office without investing in expensive technology. The service is available to all Demon Broadband customers without a set-up fee and allows up to 10 concurrent dial-up connections for each Demon Broadband account.
