We have an increasingly strong reputation for delivering high quality solutions to UK business, government and the public sector." "This contract with Glasgow City Council will run for six years with a further two-year option. It will underpin the Council's 'Access Glasgow' programme, which is dedicated to using technology to enhance delivery of public services. As part of this programme, the Council's network will need to deliver increased data and voice services, Internet and video to 400 offices and centres.. THUS Plc is committed to Glasgow and the implementation of this strategically important investment in the City's future." Councillor Ruth Simpson, Convener of Glasgow City Council's Financial Services Committee, said: "The continuing advances in technology present major challenges to the Council. We strive to invest wisely to ensure that the Council remains an effective, efficient and modern organisation. This latest investment forms a strategic foundation for our Access Glasgow strategy and our efforts to meet the government's e-government agenda. Investments such as this will all help to make it easier for the people of Glasgow to contact the Council."
