THUS helps Virgin Group streamline communications THUS delivers cost benefits as Virgin Group's preferred voice supplier January 12, 2004 - THUS plc has been chosen as Virgin Group's preferred supplier of voice services. THUS is providing voice services to 200 sites across the UK, belonging to 10 Virgin businesses. The sites have a variety of differing requirements, from inbound and outbound voice traffic to data services, such as leased lines. THUS is reducing telephony costs by allowing the Virgin Group to leverage its buying power across its businesses, providing a single tariff for all sites regardless of size. THUS, one of the UK's leading providers of Voice, Data and Internet services, has brought together a combination of services specially designed for corporates and SMEs to best meet the differing needs of each Virgin site. For Virgin Cars, THUS is providing leased line connectivity for e-mail and the Internet, in addition to voice services. THUS provisioned the service quickly to meet tight deadlines associated with the launch of Virgin Cars' first physical car superstore in Manchester in May 2003. For Virgin Cosmetics and Virgin Wines, in addition to managing outbound calls, THUS is handling inbound contact centre traffic via its number translation service, which allows Virgin to provide a range of numbers that all customers can call free-of-charge regardless of their geographic location. In total, THUS is providing telephony services to 10 Virgin businesses, including Virgin Management Ltd with 90 employees at one site; 150 Virgin Megastores across the UK and 20 Virgin Active health clubs.
