THUS plc (THUS), the communications and Internet company today announced a new contract with BSkyB to provide an enhanced text messaging service to Sky Active customers in the UK.

The new service will allow mobile phone users to respond directly to text messages sent by Sky Active viewers, who can use the service whilst still watching programming on Sky channels.

THUS has worked closely with Sky Interactive to enable the two-way text messaging - a first for interactive television in the UK. Sky Active viewers will also be able to set up multiple accounts so that each household member can send, and receive text messages.
