Demon Slashes The Price Of ADSL Demon is pleased to announce the launch of its new Broadband product, Demon Express Solo on March 18 2002*, slashing the price of its ADSL offering. The new self-install product will cost £28.99 per month (inc.VAT) with a £50 set up charge (inc. VAT). Taking advantage of the BT price cuts announced recently, Demon Express Solo will allow customers to have always-on access to the Internet at an affordable price. By installing their own DSL modem and telephone socket filters, Demon Express Solo customers will receive a full Internet access service with unlimited email addresses, and up to 512Kb downstream bandwidth and 256Kb upstream. The Demon Express suite of products also includes managed-installation DSL products to suit all types of users - from home-workers to small businesses through to large enterprises and these services have been dramatically reduced in price too. As from 18 March 2002* Demon Express managed-installation services will be available from just £28.99 per month inc. VAT (set-up fees from £210.00 inc. VAT). Announcing the new products, Bill Allan, Chief Executive of THUS plc, the home of Demon, said: "BT's announcement that it was cutting the cost of DSL wholesale was a bold move and has enabled us to offer a compelling product to our customers. We applaud BT's initiative and now encourage BT to be equally aggressive in unbundling the local loop to enable a greater range of services to be offered to 'Broadband Britain'." If you would like to email Demon with your queries about the new ADSL products please go to the registration form.
