International Broadband Expert Takes Up Head Marketing Post Alan Blunt, a telecommunications specialist with 20 years' industry experience, has joined THUS as marketing director. He will head the 40 strong marketing team based throughout the UK. Alan's expertise lies in defining strategy, branding and alliance activity for technology companies. Most recently, he managed acquisition and flotation marketing strategies for McLaren plc and IndigoVision. Blunt has worked all over the world and spent a combined 17 years at Nortel Networks and GEC Marconi, in engineering, senior sales and marketing roles. His focus at THUS will be on supporting existing marketing activities as well as raising awareness of the THUS and Demon brands to Corporates and SMEs, respectively. Blunt's most recent role was as marketing director at McLaren, an international supplier of content and knowledge solutions. Prior to this, he was on the Board at IndigoVision. At Nortel, he focused on its broadband business, from regional broadband marketing in Asia, to merger and acquisition activity across the globe.
